ford's 5th birthday
Ford's birthday is not until May 30th ...but we celebrated early because the next few weekends are filled and then school will be out! We had a baseball birthday party for him at Trinity playground. We had cupcakes and hotdogs! He invited his entire class and a few other close friends. He had a ball!
dinner under the stars
My friend Rachel and I hosted a "dinner under the stars" for a few close friends from church.
We set the table up outside of Myrtle Hall in Eutaw. We both mixed our china and borrowed the silver from my mother in law. We cut blooms from the HUGE magnolia in front of the house and greenery from here and there. The menu included Shrimp and Grits, salad, asparagus, and rolls. We served cheesecake for dessert and had an assortment of great wines! The night was perfect! Then food, conversation, and wine just all FLOWED! It was a great getaway from the reality of the past few weeks!

SANDLOT
Ford has started Sandlot..the cutest little baseball league in Tuscaloosa! I am biased...but the little boys on his team are adorable. Here are a few pictures from his first game. I will note that while I was snapping some pictures...he kindly turned to me and reminded me that he was "PLAYING BALL MAMA"!
Sista Girl...
Mary Howard is already TEN MONTHS old! She is not walking yet...but is standing up on everything and makes her way around most of the house! Here is a late picture of her in her baptism gown. My mom was in town and I was able to take the kids to get a few shots.
This picture was taken towards the end of the photoshoot and was one of the only good shots I captured...but it is pretty CUTE!

Where the Wild things are...
Introducing our Easter Meal...
I don't know about you...but where I grew up meat at our kitchen table was from the grocery store! Ummm..... not so much the case now that I live in Alabama and I am married to a HUNTER and GATHERer! My husband has hunted this turkey for years now...it has been a long and much anticipated event. So I have been told that the turkey is one of the hardest animals to sneak up on. They have a keen sense of eyesight and can see even the smallest of movements. (even the blink of an eye) Chris left the house way before five to track down this wild turkey..he sludged through the mud, fought off the misquitoes, and called up this GOBBLER of a turkey!
MOO..... Harwood turns TWO!
I can't believe that my "baby"...not "baby"is two!
We celebrated with the five of us eating cake and opening gifts.
Happy birthday to my wild and toothless little boy!
You light up our lives!
